As a Chartered Accountant with 10 years post-article experience I learnt the tools of the auditing trade through both my traineeship and employment at an Audit firm thereafter. I entered the NGO sphere in 2016 where I am currently still serving as Grants Financial Manager at NACOSA (Cape Town). I am currently managing grants totalling 85 million USD / ZAR 1.5b. I earn my keep by getting things done. I am built for responsibility and am motivated by the fact that what I do contributes to a bigger, more positive picture. I live an intentional and purpose-filled life, it’s non-negotiable that my vocational life would be one that contributes to society and the advancement thereof. NACOSA is a NGO working to turn the tide on HIV, AIDS and TB in Southern Africa. NACOSA is a principal recipient to the Global Fund, USAID and various other funders. As Grants Finance Manager, I am responsible for the financial management, accounting, budgeting, reporting and compliance of grant funding totaling USD 80 million.
