The unmet need for surgery globally, has led to the rapidly developing emerging field of global surgery, which has emphasized that surgical services are the key elements of a properly functioning healthcare system and thus a prerequisite for accessibility of universal health. This has been my inspiration to pursue a career that will make the realization of excellency in Global surgery a reality through international collaboration. This is with the aim to increase surgical services and procedures in Sub Saharan Africa, of which Cardiothoracic Surgical services are in dire need. Current Role

- Proficient in valve replacement surgery including redo valve surgery and tricuspid valve surgery.
- Competent in Coronary artery bypass grafting and proficient in conduits harvesting internal mammary artery , radial artery and saphenous vein
- Proficient with VV and VA ECMO cannulation, Intra-aortic balloon pump insertion and ICU management of patients on mechanical circulatory support
- Proficient in Thoracic organ procurement for transplant surgery
- Proficient in open thoracic lung resection( lobectomies and pneumonectomies
- Able to perform limited resections via VATS, wedge resections biopsies bullectomies and pleurectomies
