The project is commonly known as Sebakwe Conservation and Education Centre, in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe. The conservation centre was established in 1994 as a response to the environmental risks and vulnerabilities associated with the country’s land reform programme, and the need to work with the newly resettled farmers in the protection and sustainability of natural resources in the affected conservancies.
