• Working as a team. Upgrading & Migrating municipality staff's workstations from old system (Novell) to new system (Microsoft). Which included doing work like:
• Upgrading Operating System (Windows XP, 7 to 10).
• Backing up and retrieving of data (Recovered critical information from data back ups to restore functionality.).
• Moving users profile into the municipalities, Active Directory.
• Installing & configuring various Apps (including Office 365).
• Completed routine and complex software installations.
• Making sure all the necessary Corporate Applications appear and work properly on users workstation, for example ..Consolidated Billing System, GIS etc.).
• Installing Database Software (Including IBM, ODBC Data Source)
• Troubleshooting client's software, internet and email problems (Outlook).
• Troubleshooting hardware problems and replacing those faulty parts.
• Installing and configuring printers and scanners.
• Also worked on mobile devices.

• Working independently in Technical Workshop, doing repairs, upgrading and modifications to PC's and Laptops. As well as doing requests obtained from Procurement Department to set-up and configure newly acquired PC's and Laptops for current and new users, and then barcoding/tagging them for inventory/stock taking purposes.

• Assisting users of various levels of computer sophistication in operation of new and existing software.
• Explained technical information in clear terms to promote better understanding for non-technical users.
• Researched and identified solutions to technical problems.
• Removed malware, ransomware, and other threats from laptops and desktop systems.

• While also keeping my coding skills up to date through online courses and working on small projects ranging from front-end to back-end websites...as well as making my own small indie video game.

• Telkom customers call in if they are experiencing faults or problems regarding their telephone or internet. It was my duty to either try and fix their problem over the phone or log a fault for a technician to go fix it.
