• Working as both General and Financial Manager and with the support of Shareholders and staff, the company was successfully directed through many operational challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, to become an even more profitable and stronger company
• This was accomplished through the implementation of better communication between procurement, treasury and sales, a more robust inventory management system, margin analyses, a personable and empathetic approach to mentoring staff and an insightful and accurate Cash Flow forecasting method
• A few of Rishaad's primary responsibilities included but were not limited to:
• Working Capital Management for Accounts receivable, foreign and local creditors as well as inventory,
• Maintaining and managing relationships with foreign customers in Namibia and Zambia
• Inventory Management
• Creation of accurate Cash flow forecasts
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to create strategies that work to minimize financial risk
• The creation of various analytical reports about the sustainability of the company which was sent to key Shareholders and Directors in order to assist high level decision making.
• Created analytical framework for identifying and developing financial growth opportunities.

• Rishaad had a vast and flexible role within The Willowton Group wherein he participated in various levels of the financial ecosystem of the company and greatly improved the financial and operational capabilities within the Group
• Rishaad identified and was passionate about the need for the Group to implement a new ERP system
• Thereafter, he was a crucial member of the Transformation Committee whose aim was to assist in The Willowton Group in their evolution
• Authorization of all goods returned, allowances – Developing new and improved methods to ensure the validity and accuracy of all allowances (claims, discounts, rebates etc) to ensure efficient and timeous resolution of customer claims and queries as per credit applications from customers
• Rishaad spearheaded and drove the implementation of a new BEE plan and training for all subsidiaries within The Willowton Group
• This involved an intensive period of stakeholder management and training development, led by Rishaad, ensued which eventually lead to the award of BEE Level 1 for the Group and subsidiaries
• This greatly enhanced the Group's standing and attract new customers
• Some of Rishaad's other important projects include leading an initiative that required him to engage with ITAC which involved a large amount of data across the Group and consolidate this information as part of the process.

• Rishaad was the Lead of the Financial team and worked closely with the CEO
• He was responsible for the financial health of the organization by producing in depth Financial reports, Financial strategies, and implementation of financial controls, robust cost analysis and efficient Inventory management
• A few of Rashaad’s major achievements include:
• Overhauled the entire ordering, receiving, stock taking, creditors’ recon and payment process
• Contributed greatly to the digitization of the Company such as leading the rework of the Company Server and implemented new networking capabilities in the factories to ensure that all facilities are connected to the server as well as developed the Company's first website
• Introduced into the company high level Selling Price vs Cost Price Analyses to ensure profitability, monthly cost analyses, complex calculations of refining and other manufacturing processes to ensure synergy of benefits are achieved.
• Generated revenue and reduced costs by recommending innovative alternatives.

• Rishaad was responsible for the preparation of consolidated management accounts for Group reporting, obtaining Management packs from all the mines, thereafter
• Reviewing packs and obtaining explanations for variances, extra-ordinary items and conclude on accuracy of pack for reporting purposes,
• Consolidate and pass pro-forma journal entries, and draft summary of performance for group consolidated results.
• Collaborated with team members to achieve target results.

• Rishaad lead and was a member of various Audit engagements at various companies across South Africa such as Transnet, Telkom, Trans-union, Bloomberg, and Intuit Real Estate to name a few.

• Rishaad took on a contract job in an industry that appealed to him
• Some of his responsibilities included, identifying transfer pricing issue, formulating a transfer pricing policy, involved in group restructuring, budget and forecasts tax forecasts and preparation of tax returns.

• Three months secondment in the U.S where he worked on various Audit engagements.

• Rishaad worked on various Audit engagement in a variety of industries.
• Gained knowledge of accounting principles and standards and general business practices to evaluate financial data and transactions.
• Fulfilled senior-level responsibilities to embrace business values.
