- Receive & evaluate the request from operations - once off or longer term requirement
- Determine possible vendor(s), and submit the Request for Quotation (RFQ) to market. This includes the competitive bidding process, for both local and international Vendors
- Identify & assist in the registration process of New Vendors, focusing on SMME's within the fence-line community and therefore BBBEE development - this partly includes ISO accreditation
- Expedite / receive the quotation(s) - follow due diligence and ensure the quotation matches the requirement
- Negotiate discount if possible
- Negotiate Terms and Conditions
- Place Purchase Order
- Expedite and ensure payment is processed after items have been delivered / services rendered
- Establish and maintain relationships with end-users, the Demand Function as well as Service Providers / Suppliers
- Responsible for the drawing and preparation of reporting w.r.t. cycle times and the team's performance
- Identify repetitive requirements, analyze and follow up on possible contracts to be implemented or alternative automation options

- Part of the design and implementation Team of the Service Process that is currently used in the Sasol, Sasolburg environment - this allowed for Contracts to be implemented and the automation of Service Requests
- Part of the project team that worked on clearing out overdue GR/IR, in preparation of the VIM system that allows automation of invoice payment on the SAP system
