• Receive & evaluate the request from operations - once off or longer term requirement
• Determine possible vendor(s), and submit the Request for Quotation (RFQ) to market. This includes the competitive bidding process, for both local and international Vendors
• Identify & assist in the registration process of New Vendors, focusing on SMME's within the fence-line community and therefore BBBEE development - this partly includes ISO accreditation
• Expedite / receive the quotation(s) - follow due diligence and ensure the quotation matches the requirement
• Negotiate discount if possible
• Negotiate Terms and Conditions
• Place Purchase Order
• Expedite and ensure payment is processed after items have been delivered / services rendered
• Establish and maintain relationships with end-users, the Demand Function as well as Service Providers / Suppliers
• Responsible for the drawing and preparation of reporting w.r.t. cycle times and the team's performance
• Identify repetitive requirements, analyze and follow up on possible contracts to be implemented or alternative automation options

In this position I manged the Technical Team, as well as the Warehousing Operations.

This position included the procurement of Packaging and Raw materials as well as Project related functions
