I am a 3rd year Cape Audio College Student. The goal is to secure as many influential connections as possible and take advantage of any opportunity to learn and eventuall show my full potential. Becoming a high value individual who can provide answers to questions and solve complex issues is the vision. Understanding things in a technical sense has encouraged confidence in my ability. Values like being competitive and a hunger for learning the ins and outs of an industry give me an edge over others.
Damian Purchase is the owner of ATM Chiptuning and multiple other branches in South Africa, and over the time of him owning the business I’ve assisted him in many ways including:
I am always on standby to assist ATM Chiptuning in whatever work they need done for the company, wether it be audio, video, or anything involving technology to my best ability.
My mother owns a Takealot printing business in which I assisted in stock take and printing of merchandise.

Cape Audio tasked us in groups of 5 to take on the role of setting up, running, troubleshooting, and packing up for a show. My role in the show was setting up and running Front of House. This would be my first run from 10:00am to 11:00PM at night, communicating with my team and my equipment (Midas M32 Console). Throughout the entire evening we had not one issue. I was tasked to do line check, feedback removal, naming tracks, setting up the console, setting up a track list, track riders, processing, routing, effects, and gain for each channel.
As a 16-year teenager I decided to start a small business in which I started building and reselling custom computers for people who enjoy gaming. During this time, I successfully made many friends and customers happy with the products I was offering. I went from refurbishment of computers, to reselling computer components, to sound systems and common household goods, to apple products. I decided to stop my endeavors as the risk was very high with scammers being abundant and it becoming a distraction for my studies. I have sold over R200000 in stock.
Rave and Repeat was a small business venture between myself and 2 friends. We decided to provide rent payment to people within somerset west in order for them to let us use their property to host events for high school students. The business was quite successful but ended briefly due to me moving to Rondebosch for my studies.
I matriculated via the IEB learning platform at Mpower Learning Centre, which is a homeschooling centre.
During 2020, After I matriculated, I went on to study architecture, but due to covid and struggling with online classes, I decided to forfeit my studies towards the end of the year and study something that suited my passion which was music production. I hope to complete my final summative assessments in the beginning of 2024, having a higher certificate in Architecture and a bachelors in Sound Engineering.
During my time studying at Cape Audio College, I have come to understand that there are many different aspects to sound engineering and found that I have the ability to excel not only in the music production side of things, but post production and live sound as well. I take as many opportunities as I can to enhance my abilities as an audio engineer.
I will graduate at CAC in November of 2024.
