Research Topic: Socio-Economic Factors Impact on South African Tertiary Students' Learning and Well-being During and Post COVID-19, Qualitative Research: using Tesch’s 8-step thematic analysis framework

Findings: Students from low-income backgrounds were disproportionately affected by academic disruption, technological exclusion, and lack of psychosocial support. The digital divide and institutional gaps exacerbated existing inequalities, worsening mental health and academic disengagement. While some employed adaptive strategies, many students resorted to maladaptive coping due to insufficient support from Higher Education Institutions.
