  • Participate on a local level in community forums, actions and meetings as required.
  • Initiate plan and record monthly awareness raising activities according to requirements by the SA Federation for Mental Health and the calendar for disability.
  • Attend to projects to provide support, training, capacity building and monitoring in respect of their functioning.
  • Facilitate and support the registration of projects in terms of prescribed legislation.
  • Participate in research as requested by provincial office.
  • Responsible for the projects allocated by the supervisor.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Implement the Constitution of the Mpumalanga Mental Health Society, as well as all associated policies and procedures with the purpose of service delivery, integration and identification with the organization.
  • Compile all prescribed reports according to the policy and guidelines of the organization
  • Maintain and update the filing system (client, group, project, administrative) in the office according to prescribed provincial guidelines
  • Handling and completion of correspondence pertaining to the post, faxes, e-mails and messages.
  • Keep all office registers up to date on a daily basis according to the policy and prescribed guidelines of the organization.
  • Submit weekly planning to the supervisor on the prescribed format and agreed date to the supervisor.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly and annual statistics and reports according to the prescribed guidelines and comply with return dates.
  • Facilitate arrangements for the office management committee meetings to ensure that quarterly meetings are held and that reports are submitted to the Provincial Management Committee in accordance with the prescribed report format.
  • Prepare for supervision in accordance with the prescribed format and policy.

REPORT WRITING

  • Assist the Social Worker in compiling business plans, progress reports, annual report, monthly reports and marketing presentations as needed in accordance to the prescribed guidelines.
  • Assist all the projects with the compilation of business plans, progress reports, funding proposals and reports.
  • Submit professional administrative reports pertaining to case work referrals, group work and community work to the Social Worker for approval according to the prescribed guidelines before submission.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Assist and guide all allocated projects with financial management and proper monitoring of income and expenditure.
  • Ensure that subsidy claims of allocated projects are submitted.
  • Obtain orders for purchases from provincial office.
  • Obtain and submit invoices for expenditure and procurement to provincial office.

MARKETING

  • Participate in the planning according to the marketing strategy of MMHS.
  • Individualize marketing strategy and liaise with the supervisor about all action to be taken.
  • Facilitate and participate in awareness campaigns according the annual plan.
  • Submit articles in local newspapers to advertise and market the services of the organization.
