Ratile Mathe entered the industry via an AMASA (Advertising Media Association of South Africa) learnership programme, where she joined SMG in July 2011 as an Intern. She quickly worked her way up to a Media Research Analyst position working on Procter and Gamble and BlackBerry. And then moved up to a Strategist role on BlackBerry, but still performing Global reporting and Analyst duties in 2012. She then took up the role as Lead Strategist on other accounts such as Boston City Campus, John Frieda Hair care and King.com. More recent positions are Media Strategist on the Glaxo Smith Kline in 2014 at Mindshare, and on the ABSA account 2014 to 2017 at GroupM. Then she became Account Manager/ Senior Strategist on African Bank, Philips and Jaguar Land Rover account in 2017 -2018 at DAN. In 2019, she joined the Heineken Group Team at Dentsu as an Account Manager. Then promoted to Account Director in 2021. In June 2022, moved back to Mindshare to head up the KFC Account as Client Lead.
