Overview:

  • As account director for two leading brands, Liberty and STANLIB, I have been trusted with driving client partnerships with strategic influence and being focal point for day-to-day client interaction, campaign planning, and service delivery.
  • I manage multiple teams and work alongside creative, strategy, media, digital development, and data teams, managing multiple campaigns at the same time to execute integrated work flow and ensure that campaigns work across platforms. I am trusted to be detailed-oriented, efficient, dependable, and a collaborative team player with a positive "can-do" professional attitude.
  • Due to the complex nature of the two brands, I am also able to problem-solve when dealing with client relationships or internal team operations issues. In my current role, I have developed an understanding of the client's wider business problems and work with senior stakeholders to solve them.

Overview:

  • I was in charge of all through-the-line advertising for Standard Bank, one of South Africa's oldest and largest banks. Specifically in charge of business and commercial portfolios as part of a team of three.
  • My responsibilities include ensuring smooth campaign execution and integration across all communication disciplines while adhering to deadlines and budgets. To successfully manage my portfolio, I made it a point to stay current on market developments, trends, and innovation across all banks in order to identify potential opportunities for my client and my agency. I was given the responsibility of strategically leading my portfolio and developing strong, long-term relationships with all stakeholders.

Overview:

  • As a senior account manager for Boomtown Strategic Advertising. I represented the company from the Johannesburg office. Lafarge Cement, the largest retainer client, was entrusted to me.
  • The focus of our client's success was to integrate communication into a digital platform.
  • I was trusted to develop junior team members as well as build strong relationships with client and creative teams with that work in different geographic locations. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic and the resulting budget constraints, the client could no longer afford to pay the retainer, and I was subsequently laid off.

Overview

  • At Grey advertising, I had the pleasure of working across various well-recognized brands. I managed the entire end-to-end dynamic creative process, working with specialists from concepting, strategy, and design, through to development, implementation, and subsequent post-delivery. I took the lead to deliver, best-in-class work
  • My role required significant liaison both internally and externally (with clients, agency partners, and technology platforms), so communication was always key and client management expertise a focus area.
  • A key moment was launching an advert for Gillette, on Women’s Day 2019 called Gogo Nozizwe. Which paid tribute to the women of South Africa who raise young men. The launch trended on Twitter for a full day and was mentioned by President Cyril Ramaphosa during his speech. It was the first creative communication unique to the South African market, from Gillette in 15 years.

Overview:

  • During my time at Ireland Davenport, I gained knowledge of the procedures necessary to successfully plan, carry out, and deliver through-the-line campaigns.
  • I was able to collaborate with innovative individuals from all departments to deliver the highest quality work, which I led from beginning to end with support from the management team. I was able to do this thanks to my natural ability to be organized, my initiative, and my quick learning.
  • I took part in every activity, including regular monthly meetings, performance reviews every three months, and biannual creative workshops.
  • I was given the freedom to take the wheel, ensuring creative briefs that were motivating and establishing clear work scopes.
  • Overall, I made all the connections to guarantee that every client received a well-rounded service while consistently managing their needs and expectations.
