Responsibilities:

• Played a pivotal role within the Murex Risk BSD team, responsible for both in-house and vendor solutions within the Corporate and Investment division of Standard Bank.
• Tasked with supporting and enabling the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) solution utilizing Murex, one of the Bank’s strategic trading platforms.
• Actively participated in technical delivery, support, and advisory capacities to meet business stakeholder demands and Murex program initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise across various asset classes and engaged in end-to-end solution phases including scoping, analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and operation.
• Contributed to the development of standards and best practices aimed at optimizing the performance of the Murex Risk platform.
• Acted as a generalist within the Managed Corporate Environments (MCE) framework, fostering a deep understanding of service assurance management practices and processes including those related to business, audit, and delivery.

During my time as a CIB Technology Graduate at Standard Bank I rotated through these Business areas as the following roles:

1. CIB Transactional Banking, Business Online South Africa (Feature Analyst):

• Investigated, problem-solved, and documented various business requests.
• Translated business requirements into finalized development guidelines for proposed solutions.

2. CIB Operations, Cross Border FX (Feature Analyst):

• Conducted similar responsibilities as in the previous role, focusing on Cross Border FX operations.

3. Global Markets Technology, Murex Risk (Business Service Developer):

• Developed an in-depth understanding of market risk topics such as VaR, FRTB, and SIMM.
• Assisted in business development requests and drove the creation of a Service Capability blueprint.
