  • Ford Foundation funding for 36 months for a Rural Democracy programme in mining affected towns, focusing on capacitating women & youth around development methodology and participatory governance.
  • Developed methodology for mining affected communities on capacitating them on how to access the projects in Social and Labour Plans through the IDP, this resulted in a partnership with Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS) at Wits University and mining affected communities who were recognized by the Local Municipalities and invited to participate in the Local IDP process.
  • Through the leadership programme that I developed, community members (youth) registered a CBO focusing on job creation. They were able to employ 32 youth on a construction site.
