• Perform stope and development auditing; continuous risk assessment and generation of remedial actions on hazards identified.
• Conduct coaching and training for miners and crews on basic strata control principles and enforce compliance with strata control-related mine standards.
• Perform (Basic level) geotechnical core logging; determining RQD, Total/Solid core recovered, geotechnical zones, rock types, geological discontinuities/structures, and geotechnical properties.
• Perform (Basic level) geotechnical mapping; identification of discontinuties and description of properties, generate RMR, Q-value from data collected.
• Secondary support quality control.

• Conduct coaching and training for miners and crews on basic strata control principles, and enforce compliance with strata control-related mine standards.

• Undertake regular underground visits to monitor compliance to mine standards, outline areas with strata control problems and issue recommendations.
• Liaise with the Shift supervisors to advice on the challenges encountered and monitored underground and report to the Shaft Rock Engineer.
• Conduct borehole camera inspection and analysis of the hanging wall strata to build a database of Ground Control Districts (GCDs) within the mine.
• Secondary support quality control and assurance
• Conduct continuous risk assessments and Rock Engineering information collection for reporting.
• Determine and compile working area risk ratings for planned working areas to determine safe working conditions
