I am a passionate linguist, educator, and humanitarian dedicated to making a difference through teaching, research, and nonprofit leadership. As Founder and Director of the Muso Tšehla Foundation, I advocate for the empowerment of marginalised communities, spearheading programs that foster skills development and nurture social inclusion. My professional journey is fueled by a commitment to equality, especially for the Deaf community in Lesotho, where I advocate, build capacity, and promote sign language awareness to break down barriers. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Linguistics at Rhodes University, where my research investigates the syntax of noun phrases in Lesotho Sign Language (LSL) and South African Sign Language (SASL). This aligns with my broader commitment to linguistic justice, education, and cultural preservation. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strong leadership, as evidenced by roles in academia and community organisations. Motivated by the belief that education and empowerment create lasting change, I strive to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world social impact.
