- Currently I report directly to the Snr Group IT manager. I am the designated IT SPOC (Single point of contact) for the Durban office.
- I manage a team of 3 IT technicians, and oversee all IT operations within my site.
- Act as a point of escalation for customers and manage their expectations.
- Ensure the alignment of technology and business objectives with the global management team.
- Attend operation and project meetings to document and relay the information to the rest of the IT team and the EXCO team.
- Draft reports on IT Service Delivery and present the data to management.
- Manage Shift Rosters and staff planning.
- Own and maintain asset management for the site.
- Apply strategic thinking where people, process and technology management is concerned.
- Assist with IT service desk tickets (Hardware and software).
- Manage the IT service desk, and ensuring all tickets is resolved within the client SLA.
- Ensure Site Compliance, including AV, Patches, PUP Software, PCI/ GDPR Policies.
- Own the procurement process for the site, including a refresh of hardware every 5 years.
- Setup processes and strategies for repetitive tasks using Powershell/ MS Excel.
- Draw up Technical Documentation/ SOP's for newly implemented processes/ Systems.

- My duties here as an IT manager was the general and professional upkeep of the organizations IT system, which included purchasing, repairs, and day to day maintenance.
- I am exposed thoroughly to the mobile tower industry, where I was directly and indirectly involved in inspection and maintenance on mobile towers throughout South Africa.
- Primary duty: Manage the Vodacom tablet-based inspection system.
- Manage all aspects of the reporting data flowing from the field to the client.
- Liaison with client on changes on inspection templates.
- Attend meetings with Client, as to if and when custom database queries need to be made.
- Manage the inspector's tablets and setup.
- Liaison with the outsourced software development team as per the client's requirements and changes to be made.
- Data analysis on client data, as a value-added service to save the client money and resources as well as eliminate failure of the Client assets.
- Manage a weekly backup routine of all servers.
- Managing all NAS file servers - includes user administration, creating file shares, and remote access administration.
- Manage the company website/ Intranet by performing updates when necessary.
- Oversee purchasing and procurement of all IT devices - i.e.: computers, laptops, phones, networking device.
- Perform all hardware/ software repairs on IT devices.
- Perform networking setups, network cabling etc.. (LAN).
- Research and development. To research and introduce new technologies.
- Monitor all user's PCs for unauthorized use, e.g.: personal internet usage, email abuse.
- Maintain the company IT policy, which includes enforcement of all rules set out.
- Create and setup email addresses when needed.
- Draw up work instructions when needed of new technology systems that was introduced.
- Train and mentor users on computer usage.
- Ensure that 3rd party software such as Quickbooks, fleet tracking software has the appropriate licenses and updates.
- Perform updates on all company software when needed.
- Ensure all software is licenses authentically.
- Control and manage the IT budget. Ensuring no overspending is done, and analysis on historic purchases to budget for future costs.
- Liaison with the Loss control department, to manage the IT asset management programme, tracking damages, theft of company devices.
- Office 365 administration - Creating and modifying users on our license portal.
- Create Dashboards templates and flow charts - For neat and presentable data dissection by top level management.
- Ensuring all redundant equipment is disposed of in line with ISO 14001.
- Support the company in the upkeep of the SANAS accreditation policies - which includes all work instruction and method statements.
