I participated in the coordination engagements within the inland fisheries resource users in inland province, where I performed the following activities:

  • Assist in identifying resource users fishing in priority dams within designated provinces (FS,GP,LP,MP&NW)
  • Conducting site visits at public waterbodies and undertaking resource users interviews

Provide support in facilitating effective coordination of inland fisheries management and development:

  • Assist with undertaking needs analysis to determine required government support for inland provinces
  • Assist in constituting a Task Team that will be responsible for the establishment of Working Groups and Co-management structures
  • Assist with constituting the National and Provincial Fisheries Working Groups
  • Assist with ensuring that the outcomes of the meetings are followed through and actioned within timeframes
  • Taking minutes in these meetings, draft and circulate drafts
  • Assist stakeholders with constituting resources-specific Co-management structures


Other related duties:

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including commercial, small-scale and recreational angling fishers
  • Assist with providing advice/support to inland fisheries stakeholders
