Responsibilities At Work

One is responsible for monitoring any activity organized by the District. For example, over holidays and some Saturdays we monitor the SSIP which is intended at improving matric results of under-performing schools. We also monitor the writing of the ANA (Annual National Assessment) at Primary schools. SGB elections are also monitored as required. Examination is also our area of observation., As part of one’s work, we get involved in transversal teams with other sub - directorates for specific tasks. This system help in empowering and exposing one to what others are involved in their Units., Since joining Ekurhuleni District I act as a Programme Director during Matric Awards., Organized and coordinated the 20th Anniversary and Reunion at Buhlebuzile Secondary School in 2006 which was a great success. Also helped in organizing District Awards

Responsibilities In Other Areas

Senior Conductor at Church for twenty-two years (22) and won numerous competitions while still competing., Member of the Parish Pastoral Council which is a controlling body within the Parish., Chairperson of the Liturgy Committee which is a structure responsible for organizing and coordinating all Church activities, e.g. Services, functions etc. Our role is to make sure these happen within acceptable Church Dogma and Practice., Member of the Liturgy Commission (Music Dept.) in the Diocese of Johannesburg. We are responsible for writing new hymns and compiling a hymn book for the Johannesburg Diocese., Founder member of NEUSA in the Kathorus area which later became SADTU., Former Publicity-Secretary of SADTU (Kathorus), Chairperson of Athletics Committee at School., Former Chairperson of Thokoza Sec. Schools Sports Committee., Member of Liberty Chorale (JHB). Participated in Community Building Festivals in 2005 and 2006., Tutor in Secondary Schools Intervention Programme (SSIP) organized by Gauteng Government (MEC sponsored) in 2005, the aim was to help improve Matric results.
