  • I worked at a bus depo maintaining 32 busses while doing my apprenticeship (Aug 2014 - Aug 2016). This consisted of doing all types of maintenance, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
  • Qualified as a Diesel Machanic Section 26 (Aug 2016)
  • I was employed as a quality controller at the CV workshop (Aug 2016 - June 2017) because there was not a technician position available at that time.
  • Tecnician CV Workshop (July 2017 - Dec 2018). Carried out standby/attending to breakdowns, maintenance, diagnosing and repair work on the following brands: Mercedes-Benz trucks and vans, Fuso trucks and Freightliner trucks.
  • Technician PC Workshop (Dec 2018 - Present). I work on the following brands: Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Jeep, Dodge and Chery. I do maintenance work but mostly diagnosing and repairing faults on vehicles.
  • Standby/attending to breakdowns on all PC brands that fall under our group.
  • Role of team leader in the workshop (June 2022 - Present)
  • My daily tasks consists of:
  • - Distributing the work load as vehicles come in.
  • - Attending to customers to find the best way to satisfy there needs.
  • - Managing the workshop to uphold the quality of work and efficiency that we strive for.
  • - Assisting other technicians with fault finding situations where needed.
  • - Attending to any customer complaints in a professional manner.

  • Straight out of college I was employed by Greyhound in Durban as a diesel apprentice. I enjoyed working there. If I was going to qualify at a bus company, I would have been seen as a bus technician only. So with my future in mind, I persued to get employment at a dealership that would be better for my career in the long run.
