• Looking after the Structured Settlements team, settling multiple currencies and manage financial products such as Credit Derivatives, Structured Credit for clients, Stake holder management, (Traders, Legal and Compliance).
• Key duties include, deal origination, financial modelling, risk analysis, product lifecycle management focusing on regulatory compliance and profitability.

• Manage daily operational and staff issues while applying the Operational Strategic Plan and addressing any internal or external queries. Attend departmental meetings and act as the Issuer Agent for Standard Bank in both local and offshore markets for all Listed and Unlisted Notes, Corporate Bonds, and related functions like Corporate Actions and Collateral Management. Oversee all aspects of bond issuance, including lifecycle management, monthly confirmations, buy-backs, and redemptions across multiple systems.
  
  Drive improvements in operational processes by identifying gaps and recommending enhancements through training and development. Maintain legal agreements, pricing supplements, and securities agreements with foreign entities and regulators. Monitor all Vanilla and FX trades while investigating escalations from relevant stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulations on failed trades.
  
  Log all operational incidents, provide feedback to Senior Management, and track market events and announcements. Emphasize client focus, people management, and financial management through staff training, while adhering to Prudential Requirements with SARB. Lead departmental projects, manage system changes, and ensure effective implementation of new products. Identify system challenges and perform testing prior to and post-implementation. Oversee daily reconciliations, send confirmations, and manage trading reports while completing the monthly departmental report and overseeing invoices and fees.

Manage daily operations and address outstanding issues while attending departmental meetings. Focus on cost reduction and budgeting. Act as the Issuer Agent for all Listed and Structured Notes issued by Standard Bank, ensuring settlement and managing the life-cycle of bonds and other instruments. Promote continuous improvement by identifying gaps in systems and suggesting enhancements.

Conduct monthly staff KPIs, provide training, and handle personal development. Oversee settlement of loans, deposits, and interest payments for various instruments. Ensure compliance with internal controls and bank policies while maintaining service levels. Foster positive relationships with business partners and clients, focusing on client needs.

Understand product parameters, policies, and regulations in both domestic and global markets. Manage relationships with stakeholders and update processes for ISO 9001 certification, ensure no outstanding balances, and address audit findings. Facilitate new product implementation, develop team training, and update job descriptions. Report and escalate operational risks and drive automation and system enhancements, calling crisis meetings when necessary.

The role involves managing Standard Bank Asset Management, Loans, and Deposits, serving as the main contact for CSDPs, JSE, STRATE, SARB, other banks, and fund managers about MM Vanilla Products. Responsibilities include providing daily operational support, implementing new products, and preparing trade reporting for the South African Reserve Bank and others. It also includes monitoring trade settlements, ensuring back-office trades are processed timely, reviewing new product proposals, and keeping departmental reconciliations current.

Capture and release trades, loans, deposits, and maturities on Money Markets systems. Manage various financial instruments and process swift messages on Retail Forex systems.
