  • Achieve pre-determined target as per the ISM Business Action Plan and desired outcomes
  • Ensure full compliance with the Tender Demand plan for goods/service tenders by processing them timeously and in compliance to SCM Policy

  • Implement SCM BIP and associated actions in order to attain the ideals articulated by the 7 pillars of SCM.
  • Ensure proper procedures and delegations are followed to write off and write down stock losses and values.
  • Ensure maintenance of all fixed and moveable assets in order to maximize useful life cycle
  • Perform quarterly asset presence checks in order to ensure alignment and accuracy with the computerized asset register.
  • Rigid conformance with Council’s asset policy is the movement, transfer, condemnation and disposal of assets.
  • Exercise tight control and correct usage over allocated plant and vehicles in order to minimize running and repair costs
  • Provide timeous, accurate and relevant input wrt Capex & Opex budgetary requirements.
  • Confine expenditure to within budget limits, restricting spend to only those goods and services which serve to enhance service delivery and meet the City’s strategic objectives.
