  • Expertise in a broad spectrum of legal fields such as Regulatory, Administrative, Commercial, Contract, Shareholder Disputes, Insurance, Tax Law, Media and Defamation, Employment, Disciplinary Tribunals, Constitutional Law, and Information Protection.
  • I have appeared both as an individual and as part of legal teams across various courts, including Magistrates, High, Labour, Labour Appeal, Supreme Court of Appeal, and Constitutional Court.

The taxpayer's request for the remission of interest was made in terms of s 39(7)(a) of the VAT Act.
  • In addition to the above, this matter gave me the opportunity to see a case through from start to finish, including two virtual appearances in the High Court, and in-person appearances in both the Supreme Court of Appeal, and the Constitutional Court. The case in question, Commissioner for the South African Revenue Service v Medtronic International Trading SARL, was argued on August 20, 2024. Judgment was reserved.
  • I have recently been brought in as a junior in a matter led by Rudolf Mastenbroek in an exchange control dispute dealing with regulation 22C against the South African Reserve Bank.
