
Ntombifuthi Felicious Ngubane is an accomplished Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental (SHEQ) Manager and Trainer with extensive experience spanning more than 10 years. She holds a National Diploma in Safety Management from the University of South Africa and a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from Mangosuthu University of Technology. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Science at the Tshwane University of Technology.
Her career includes progressive roles such as SHEQ Manager, SHEQ Superintendent, Safety Officer (Section 2.17.1), and SHEQ Coordinator/Officer. Ntombifuthi’s practical experience, combined with the theoretical knowledge gained through her academic studies and fieldwork, enables her to deliver meaningful contributions across Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management disciplines.
With a strong foundation in SHEQ management and training, she is dedicated to applying her expertise to drive compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Ntombifuthi is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven—committed to producing high-quality results while continually expanding her skills to support her professional growth.

Supporting site management in achieving EHS performance.
Drive the implementation of EHS policy in the field according to the Alstom, Region, and Country-Cluster guidelines and targets, and the improvement of EHS results at the site.
Advising, helping, coaching & supporting operational management in the EHS actions implementation to reach Alstom EHS objectives. Preparing the local yearly EHS plan consistent with Alstom strategy and objectives. Mobilizing and coordinating with others to meet those objectives and deploy the plan. Monitorong the right deployment of the plan.
Ensuring EHS Risk Assessments are done & appropriate measures to control risks are defined for the Site.
Preparing, implementing and maintaining emergency plans at Site level.
Ensuring activities of sub-contractors are under control with respect to EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operational areas.
Full authority to stop any operational activity resulting in an immediate high risk to People or the Environment.
Leading the EHS function in the site
Monitoring, assisting, coaching, assessing, developing the EHS teams in the site
Developin induction programs for new EHS people in the site.
Involve social and medical partners and communicate with them about EHS
Developing Site EHS Management System
Develop, deploy and maintain the local procedures and tools applicable to the Site specific for EHS Management System in line with Transport & Country/Cluster EHS Management System
Ensure that Alstom EHS standards and tools (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP), Transport Operational Performance in Environment, Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level.
EHS Compliance
Monitor compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements & propose actions to correct any gap
Maintain appropriate records and documentation of the Site.
Monitor historical pollution & associated risks
Develop EHS culture in the site
Influence the site EHS performance: facilitate change and EHS continuous improvement
Built the site EHS communication plan
Prepare and implement an EHS training plan and program with the support from HR and a local EHS communication plan.
Reporting, Measurement & Review
Ensure that Accidents/Incidents are first prevented, and when occurring, reported, recorded, investigated and analyzed. Establish and communicate Return of Experience (REX) reports in case of severe or potentially severe accidents. Ensure Alstom EHS call for actions are deployed at site level.
Prepare and submit monthly EHS reports. Feed EHS reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements. Is accountable for data quality of the Site.
o Organize and lead internal EHS audits and inspections of the EHS reporting process in the Country/Cluster
