10.2013 - 03.2026

I worked to coordinator engineering design work for kingdom hall construction in KwaZulu‑Natal, Eastern Cape, and Western Cape regions, where I was responsible for managing a multidisciplinary design team. My primary role was to ensure the timely production of comprehensive construction design packages to support on‑site construction teams. This included coordinating design inputs, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and facilitating communication between design, architect, and construction team. I received training on a master planning tool and was assigned to give training on it and helped in a number of African countries such as Congo and Rwanda.

I also worked to coordinate real estate work for kingdom hall construction and maintenance for KZN and Lesotho. My responsibilities included land acquisition, apartment lease administration, client negotiations, property sales, and property legalization.

Project Manager

EThekwini Municipality
02.2007 - 12.2011

I joined the eThekwini Municipality, where I gained experience across multiple departments and engineering functions.

  • I began my tenure in the Roads and Stormwater Department as a Civil Engineering Technologist. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing gravel road maintenance within the Durban South region, ensuring compliance with municipal standards, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting service delivery initiatives.
  • I later transitioned to the Housing Department as a Project Manager, where I led and coordinated multidisciplinary professional teams in the implementation of low-cost housing projects in the Outer West Durban region. My responsibilities included project planning, stakeholder engagement, progress monitoring, and ensuring projects were delivered within scope, budget, and regulatory requirements.

Civil Engineering Technologist

ZAI Consulting Engineers
01.2002 - 02.2007

I began my career at ZAI Consulting Engineers and was trained on computer aided drawing on civil engineering infrastructure. As my role expanded, I was introduced to civil design work, with a particular focus on earthworks design for rural infrastructure projects such as sports fields and building platforms. Throughout my tenure, I worked under the guidance of Lawrence Fraser (Pr.Eng.) and Shaun Swanby (Pr.Tech.), contributing to various key projects. Notably, I was involved in work related to the ICC Durban Exhibition Centre and several other civil engineering infrastructure projects.
