• Control incoming materials (accept or reject)

• Implement sampling plans and testing methods

• Manage material retention and reference samples

• Identify non-conforming materials (making a disposition decision)

• Raise non-conformances, communicate to supplier and procurement

• Drive non-conformance closure

• Manage validation, calibration and verification of measurement and testing equipment • Ensure that only validated methods are used

• Drive GLP’s

• Participate in/or develop proficiency testing schemes

• Ensure adherence to sampling, handling and testing schedules

• Interpret results (accept or reject)

• Provide professional opinion in case of non-conforming results, where required • Raise non-conformance and communicate to processing manufacturing/site quality manager /lead

• Analyse test results of materials and trend data to identify CI opportunities

• Verify measurement and testing equipment data for trend to identify CI opportunities

• Drive quality continuous improvement programs

Microbiological Laboratory:

• Log samples and give references for internal and external tests of all production lines
• Prepare request forms and purchase order numbers for samples tested externally
• Prepare agar prior to testing
• Perform tests on all production samples
• Sample daily incoming water
• Analysis of results – counting of plates of all production areas and record results
• Release of all production areas
• Daily verification: Lab devices (scales, pipettes, dispensers, etc.)
• Correspondences: Do follow up on external labs for pending results, report any deviation and write NCR
• Stock take and make orders of micro lab consumables
• Document control (Filling, new form and procedure creation for every test method)
• Equipment calibration
• Validation tests for new disinfectants
• Results trending
• Cleaning of lab equipment
• Micro lab housekeeping
• Inactivation of micro-organisms
• Swabs – hands, equipment, air monitoring for all production areas and lab

Quality Operations Analyst:

• Sample collection for micro testing
• Production areas housekeeping audit checklist
• Hygiene and audit checklist
• Sampling for micro and allergen testing
• Equipment swabs after cleaning production lines for micro and allergen testing
• Trending of results
• Raw material sampling
• Prepare samples for tasting/sensory evaluation
• Release samples that passed micro analysis
• Review food safety processes and procedures
• Make daily observations of production processes from preparation to packaging
• Supervise inspection of outgoing finished samples as well as incoming raw materials
