I have obtained a Bachelor of Science honors degree with environmental health as one of my majors; I am also registered with the Southern African Institution of Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH) as an Occupational Hygienist (ROH). I hold a Chamber of Mines Intermediate Mine Environmental Control certificate.

Throughout my career I have gained skills in interpretation of legislation and incorporating it into the OH monitoring program. My experience in the field of occupational hygiene includes conducting of health risk assessments, development of OH monitoring program, conducting OH surveys and personal monitoring, incident investigations, controls assessments, and report writing. I am knowledgeable in data analysis and comfortable working with spreadsheets. Currently I’m employed as a Senior VOHE Assistant at Seriti Middelburg Mine Services, this position has challenged me to continuously learn/research and evolve in this industry, to ensure I always research about local and international legislation to better deliver an OH program aimed at preserving the health and safety of employees I represent.

I believe experience in this field together with the skills I have acquired in the work environment places me as a good candidate for this position.
