Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

- Overall Co-ordination of the pharmaceutical services with a particular focus on the TB programme.

- Stakeholder engagements at Sub-District and District level

-Technical Support visits to the District facilities

-Quality Assurance and Clinical governance practices

-Development of policies and SOPs for better operations for the TB programme

-Training of Clinicians, and Pharmacists on TB management programme

-Training of Clinicians, Pharmacists and Data Capturers on Pharmacovigilance systems in the TB programme

-Advocating for Good Pharmacy Practice

-File and/or Clinical audits to ensure good patient management

• -Cold-Chain management of Covid-19 vaccines
• -Stakeholder engagement at District level regarding stock availability of vaccines
• -Stock management of vaccines as well as ancillaries used for the Covid vaccination programme
• -Quality Assurance on sites
• -Reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions following immunization using the Med-Safety App or the manual triplicate book for Adverse Drug Reaction reporting
• -Training of Clinicians on Pharmacovigilance and reporting of adverse drug reactions following immunisations

• Supporting Sub-District Management teams in stream-lining systems, procedures and services relating to Pharmacy processes and services
• Providing technical support for stakeholder forums including all reporting and feedback
• Strengthening Pharmacy practices to ensure maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Supporting facilities in implementing and/or strengthening Good Pharmacy Practices
• Stakeholder engagement at District level
• Training, mentoring and support of the District Team as well as assistance with the development of training tools
• CCMDD Support and management at District level
• Pharmacovigilance Trainings and reporting of adverse drug reactions
• Development and implementation of corrective action in co-operation with the project team and District stakeholders

• RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE DISPENSARY OPERATIONS
• -ENSURING AND PROVIDING HIGH STANDARDS OF PHARMACEUTICAL CARE, ACCURATE AND SAFE DISPENSING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE Good Pharmacy Practice
• -MANAGING AND CONTROLLING ALL OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE DISPENSARY, INCLUDING SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE STOCK MANAGEMENT, SHRINKAGE, AND GENERAL HOSE KEEPING
• -ENSURING COMPETENT AND MOTIVATED EMPLOYEES THROUGH REGISTERING THEM ON CPD PROGRAMMES, ALSO COACHING OF LEARNER BASICS AND LEARNER POST BASICS, AS WELL AS PHARMACIST INTERNS
• -SCHEDULING OF STAFF IN LINE WITH LABOUR POLICY
• -ENSURING COST-EFFECTIVENESS WHILE DELIVERING ON COMPANY GOALS, AND MEETING FINANCIAL TARGETS
• -PROCUREMENT OF MEDICINAL ITEMS

• RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE DISPENSARY OPERATIONS
