
Skilled Pharmacist with vast experience and a strong background in technical work, management and leadership roles in different pharmaceutical sectors such as the retail sector, government sector, as well as the NGO sector.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
- Overall Co-ordination of the pharmaceutical services with a particular focus on the TB programme.
- Stakeholder engagements at Sub-District and District level
-Technical Support visits to the District facilities
-Quality Assurance and Clinical governance practices
-Development of policies and SOPs for better operations for the TB programme
-Training of Clinicians, and Pharmacists on TB management programme
-Training of Clinicians, Pharmacists and Data Capturers on Pharmacovigilance systems in the TB programme
-Advocating for Good Pharmacy Practice
-File and/or Clinical audits to ensure good patient management
Competencies:
Strong Technical Knowledge in Drug Surveillance and public health
Strong project management and organizational skills
Knowledge in Pharmacovigilance work, reporting adverse drug reactions, following them up and capturing them on the system
Facilitation and support in the identification, reporting and investigation of Adverse Events
Good facilitation or training skills of other Clinicians on reporting of ADRs on Med-Safety app or any online vigilance Hub such as EDR-Web, including the manual reporting
Good stakeholder engagement skills with National Department of Health and SAHPRA (South African Health Products Regulatory Authority) for ADR submissions
