I want to work for a company that is inspired by growth, development and support. Growth in my career path means that I must be involved in both functional /technical processes and support in and beyond SAP FICO. I have worked in professional environments as a SAP consultant SAP Solution Owner for Finance ; a SAP ERP manager, Trainer and Training Lead and a Business Analyst with vast experience in system implementation, integration and leadership. My passion to educate others about SAP has positioned me as a unique professional with a special value add in all the projects in worked.

•Analyze the technology industry, competitors, and market trends, and determines their potential implications for a given solution (stretch)

•Analyze the Finance Function’s-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement (stretch)

•Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations

•Consult with application and infrastructure development projects and products to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify designs to accommodate the solutions architecture

Apply Technology in the Finance Function

•Lead evaluation, design and analysis of Finance requirements and development of project definitions and investment proposals.

•Guide and support the Finance Function in the adoption and implementation of Finance best practices into the business.

•Guide and support the Finance Function in the integration and standardization of Finance processes.

•Manage & develop the solution architecture for Finance solutions & projects, working closely with other architects, and recommends to Finance Function and ITSC for approval

•Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the Finance solutions/application portfolio and also the rest of the enterprise solution portfolio from current to future state, and recommend to the Finance Function and ITSC for approval.

•Act as a consultant and advisor to the Finance Function on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes

•Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects, and systems, including applications, technologies, processes, and information

•Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of approved implementation projects.

•Take accountability for ensuring solution implementations and changes deliver business requirements.

•Provide consulting support to application architects to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture

  • Mpumalanga Legislature implemented SAP solutions in 2010 and had not realized the full benefits of using the SAP ERP solutions; they were also not using the full SAP functionality of the existing modules.
  • We motivated for SAP South Africa to intervene and assist with the stabilization of the SAP ERP system.
  • The SAP ERP system stabilization engagement was for all areas within SAP Technical and Functional modules. The Mpumalanga Legislature has been using three SAP ERP modules; SAP FI, MM and HR. Functionality within these three modules was not fully utilized. I led a team and processes to align the SAP ERP Asset Register.
  • SAP ERP Solution Manager that was no longer working, system health checks were manually executed from an external environment. We worked closely with SAP South Africa to ensure that SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is installed and configured with Focused Insight for visual SAP monitoring of OS/DB and Hardware metrics including alerting VIA e-mail.
  • SAP Authorization also had to be aligned as per Audit findings with segregation of duties.
  • Also worked closely Business to ensure processes are aligned.
  • Introduced project governance including the SAP structure in relation to the whole Business.
  • Worked Closely with SAP South Africa to finalize a Business Case that also addressed how Mpumalanga Legislature can use SAP ERP for their Core Business which is Public Participation Oversight and LAW Making.

  • This includes, creation of a sales order, helping user to do shipment planning, warehouse operations, and site control where all the trucks needed to be despatch-ed.
  • Training drivers on the Oasis system for distribution purposes. This is the system which was on the hand held device that the drivers used to capture their shipment and the whole stock update when delivering to the customers; they were able to print the invoice to that customer using the that device.
  • I was part of the Quality Assurance team when we installed this system on the hand-held.
  • I have also been part of the team which audited the performance of this system after it went live.
