HTS services focus on providing HIV testing at facilities, communities, outside facilities promoting testing through health talks and social mobilization. They emphasize reaching hard to reach groups such as children adolescents offering index testing. Services include HIV Rapid tests, HIVSS and collaboration with CBS for awareness activities. Quality assurance, reporting challenges and raising awareness for PreP, TB and STI screening are key components of the service.
Retention to care services focus on providing post-test counselling, adherence support and linking HIV-positive clients to ARV initiation. Tracing clients who missed appointments and blood monitoring visits is essential, along with offering supportive counselling referrals. The role involves facilitating chronic treatment and ROFT support clubs, assisting clients returning to care, and ensuring adherence to care standards and policies. Close collaboration with the CBS team for home visit tracing and addressing barriers to treatment is also key.
The role involves assisting HIV patients with counseling, ensuring positive clients are linked to care and initiated on ARVs and keeping records of ARV initiation. It includes reporting challenges in the referral system, distributing IEC materials on HIV/TB and providing health education on ART adherence, viral load monitoring and TB screening. The duties also cover supporting activities in line with the 909090 strategy, completing linkage and tracing registers, conducting follow-ups and index contact tracing. Regular reporting on these activities is required.
Maintains the records of clients offered HTS, tested positive and linked to care,following DOH and Anova tools and daily facility register entries. Adherence to facility reporting formats, attending Anova team meetings and submitting reports to relevant staff. Ensuring accurate data entry in registers, securing storage of client data additionally, identifying and engaging critical program stakeholders is part of the responsibility.
Building strong working relationship with them
Regular feedback to the community coordinator on social dynamics affecting project activities. The position also involves collaborating with Tester community support partners and CBS, while managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the DOH and other partners.
