Performing tasks associated with accounting procedures and assets acquisitions by performing the status or records associated with the asset of the Municipality,Barcoding of the assets to update the asset register,controlling the asset movement and transfers within the municipality ,assisting in the calculation of depreciation and final reports in line with Auditor General,Ensure compliance with Council assets and inventory management policy,Review asset management policy annually and align it to GRAP requirement,perform impairment of asset annually in line with the GRAP standard, perform asset verification and compile the report for the asset to be written off,ensure that the fixed asset register and general ledger balances,assist in procurement of insurance services for all Municipality properties,compile insurance claim reports from directorate to lodge a formal claim with the relevant insurance broker,control all the insurance claim lodge with a view of ensuring resolution of claims.

• Conducted financial due diligence on potential investments and acquisitions.

Performing expenditure management activities in compliance with the relevant legislation,policies and procedures,Capturing of invoices and GRN,paying suppliers,preparing monthly reports,filling,ensure that all suppliers comply with National Treasury Regulations requirements,assist with the audit queries, interact with auditors and make required information available, prepare and load EFT payments to the relevant bank accounts,quality assurance of all payments for suppliers transaction.
