He joined One Stone Capital, shortly after its launch in 2001, as a quantitative analyst and later senior quantitative analyst in the fund management division. During this role he was responsible for co-developing and managing the company’s derivative strategy to protect the company’s fees from market fluctuations. He co-founded One Stone Capital’s retail unit, One Stone As’investe which was incorporated in 2005. He was an executive director of One Stone As’investe between 2005 and 2010 and was its Chief Executive Officer between 2009 and 2010. During his tenure at One Stone As’investe he oversaw the executions of the approved strategies of the business including negotiating agreements with the South African Post Office, and a sales team of over 70 individuals. He was also a member of the group board of directors of One Stone Capital between 2004 and 2006 and of the group executive committee between 2004 and 2010. Nhlanhla is currently Managing Director and CFO of One Stone Capital, responsible for implementation of its M&A strategy. His achievements include providing end-to-end advisory to a start-up private equity fund which entailed drawing up an investor memorandum, comprehensive financial model and fundraising culminating in securing a commitment of R200 million for this fund.
