  • Currently in my masters so as field epidemiology trainee I an actively investigating and monitoring disease outbreaks in the field by collecting data through interviews, surveys, and observations, analyzing the information to identify patterns of disease spread, and then advising public health officials on appropriate control and prevention strategies to contain outbreaks and prevent future occurrences; this often involves traveling to affected areas to conduct research and gather crucial data on the ground

  • Primary stage of vaccine production by:
    Perform scientific procedure on horses (injections, sampling, plasmapheresis and donor) in order to produce anti sera; Run blood tests and blood analysis on Idexx machine; Train and manage new horses/ foals to familiarize them with the environment and for the purpose of clinical trial; Conduct routine checks on horses and sheep to observe illness/ injury and assist in the treatment thereof to ensure animals health.
    Clean bleeding equipment’s in preparation for sterilization in order to maintain a hygiene work environment; Operate equipment’s (e.g. weighing balances, autoclave); to ensure accuracy and efficiency of services; Prepare and restrain large animals in preparation for procedures to adhere to production schedule and SOPs; Reviewing of SOP’s; Stable management; Ensure and maintain the health status of the animals.
