- Did Casualty and Maternity/Ward calls, each call had 2 doctors - one covering casualty & the other maternity/wards. Managed calls independently and asked for help when needed.
- Responsibilities included clerking, examining and managing patients. Management of patients included exploring differentials, interpreting investigations, performing procedures and implementing treatment plans.
- Patients were managed in acute and chronic settings, was also required to respond to medical and surgical emergencies, both in adult and paediatric populations.
- Recognizing which patients required escalation/referral for specialist care was another important part of patient care.
