  • Monthly Fund Contributions: Continuous follow ups with employers/ Payroll staff every month to ensure that contributions are paid to the fund and schedules are uploaded online on time into the system.
  • Death Claims: Assist the team and Fund Administrators on unresolved death claims. Follow up with Fund Administrators on Outstanding Death Claims. Check the Death Claims packs to ensure that all documents required are submitted. Trace individuals who are of interest to a case. Identification of the decease members’ dependents/ nominees. Obtaining evidence on dependents of deceased members. Run the Death Benefit Calculator for the distribution of the Death Benefit to the correct Beneficiaries according to the resolution. Report findings of investigations to the Principal Officer and Fund Consultant. Draft response letters to beneficiaries that have lodged complaints on final decision made by the Board of Trustees on allocation percentages.
  • Board of Trustees: Sit in the board meetings and report on Member Education progress and challenges when required. Identify Training needed for the board to undergo as per legislation by FSCA. Sit in the Retirement Fund Committee Meetings: Investment Committee, Risk Benefits Committee, Administration & Communication Committee.
  • Member Presentation Videos: Planned and designed slides for each of the 9 topics of the Bidvest SA Pension and Retirement Fund. i.e Text on slides, Images and script drafting which reviewed and signed off by the line manager (Subject matter Expert). Recorded the videos and audio clips through the professional Media Company (Scarlet Cord Media). Review and corrections on the draft videos for each topic.   • Board Member Elections: Designed electronic survey forms for the 2020 Board Elections and updated the paper-based form for members that have no access to internet. Email and SMS communication and updates to members of the Fund on the election progress. Granted the auditors access to the online system for data tallying and reporting of the results.
