- Track and ensure DRP (Distribution requirement plans) are executed on time according to stocking policy and demand
- Reduce back orders to acceptable level by ensuring adequate stock levels at dispatch warehouses to meet current and/or expected demand
- Transfer stock to factories upon request for stock transfer for SSA's (suspended stock actions) / defective stock.
- Avoid overstocking / under stocking at each depot by creating and controlling action plan to minimize obsolete stock
- Communicate, resolve and escalate low stocks, stock-outs and potential stock-outs
- Record, check and maintain Item and Customer planning rules and principles for assigned categories at depot level
- Actively participate in supply chain development initiatives, identify and implement opportunities to reduce time it takes to do routine work activities, identify cost saving opportunities and actively support culture improvement drive within team
- Master Production Schedule, this is done on a weekly & monthly basis to show a view of all scheduled production with purchase orders that are planned to show backorders, Inventory health, inventory projections
- Stocking Policy, this exercise done quarterly to determine safety stock and max levels based on sales trends at depot level + National(all depots)
- OTIF, reporting back to business root causes as to why active customer orders were not fulfilled
- Business scorecard, gives insight of critical issues for business like inventory holdings, backorders and sales order ageing.
- Old & Slow - compiling old and slow file and presentation. This gives shows slow moving and obsolete parts.
- Managing Old and Slow reworks, this is done after feasibility of reworking old and slow parts.
- Ageing sales order book, I run multiple reports (SOH, Works Orders, Sales orders, Stock In-transit, National back orders) and compile them into one ageing report which is communicated to business across different departments.
