Mechanical Workshop Assistant

02.2024 - Current

Assisting at a local mechanical workshop and scrapyard on a part-time basis since completing my studies, gaining practical exposure to mechanical repairs and workshop tools.
Helping dismantle and reassemble mechanical components such as engines, pumps, and shafts under supervision of experienced workers.
Gaining exposure to using hand tools (spanners, hammers, screwdrivers) and workshop equipment including grinders, drills, and hydraulic jacks.
Supporting cleaning, preparation, and organization of tools and workstations while learning basic workshop safety and mechanical practices.
Observing and occasionally assisting with basic maintenance tasks involving worn components and parts replacement.
Developing a solid understanding of mechanical systems, workshop environments, and the discipline required to perform practical tasks.
