I am a knowledgeable Student Teacher and soon to be graduate that offers skills in lesson planning, classroom management, behavioural support and diverse learning needs. I have gained valuable experiences from my time as a professional athlete that has impacted my academic career and allowed me to be incredibly hard-working, eager to learn and improve myself in all aspects throughout my career, regardless of the many challenging situations and pressures I have faced. I believe in the concept of lifelong learning and hope to continue broadening my knowledge on a part time basis while gaining valuable experience working as a teacher. I am energetic, adaptable, eager to learn and willing to work incredibly hard to ensure the success of my students and the wellbeing of them and their families.
I am completing my 3rd and final practical of my Postgraduate Certificate. Responsibilities include standing in for teachers, checking and developing lesson plans to provide consistent teaching to students.
Oversaw the care of three children aged 5-11 years in a dynamic family environment. The job required providing children with extensive emotional support as well as assisting with their ability to cope with demanding schedules.
I completed my 2nd teaching practical in a Grade R classroom. I collaborated with teaching staff to implement coordinated educational strategies and student support networks. My experience at the school provided me with an average above 75% for my practical modules.
Classroom management
I have competed in the Youth Olympic Games in 2014, the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2015 where I won a bronze and silver medal, the Commonwealth Games in 2018, the World Student Games in 2019 as well as the Swimming World Championships in 2019.
In addition I achieved a total of 5 distinctions in Matric, was Head Girl of TuksSport High School in 2017 and achieved a Golden Key Membership during my undergraduate degree.
