Lecturing Global Strategic Management to post-graduate students at CPUT District Six Campus.

Duties are to:

-develop subject guides, course content, tutorials, exam tests, assignments and to serve as a mentor to students during their learning journey.

The course is delivered predominantly online with regular face to face recaps. The subject covers the strategies multinational and global companies can employ to achieve long-term success within a global landscape.

• Managing a portfolio of 900 clients with a turnover between 0-10 million rand. In managing the portfolio we provide lending solutions to business clients such as vehicle and asset finance, term loans, overdrafts, corporate cards, insurance, bizflex, Business Revolving Credit Plans, transactional accounts and tools of trade such as merchant devices.
• The role also has a cross-selling component where we are responsible for identifying leads for financial advisors and insurance consultants within the group.
• Further more mitigating risk is crucial. The duties therefore include complying with KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) regulatory requirements.

• Maintenance of business accounts and profiles; identify cross-selling opportunities on behalf of business bankers; KYC and AML of business accounts; resolving service requests; identifying client needs; assisting the team meet sales targets. I was promoted to a business banker role from this position.

• The role was branch based and externally focused. I was responsible for Identifying clients' needs and concerns and providing the relevant solutions.
• The role also had a risk component. I was therefore subject to KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) regulatory requirements.
• Lastly, it was predominantly sales orientated. I was therefore responsible for opening accounts, providing lending products, funeral cover, liability cover, insurance and more.

• Responsible for migrating clients to our digital platforms as well as hosting workshops with branch staff to upskill them on our digital offerings.

• Responsible for training staff in Eastern Cape and Western Cape coffee boutiques. The role required the drafting of induction and training material which was to be rolled out in over 15 boutiques across the two provinces.
