ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH HR LEGISLATION:
- Comply with relevant HR Legislation (Labour Relations Act, EEA, Skills Development Act etc.)
- Manage and utilize all resources allocated to the immediate post environment in accordance with relevant directives & Legislation.
- Provide information and advice to the different committees regarding legislation that may affect employment issues.
ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Ensure initiatives regarding organizational values.
- Updating of Employment Equity and ensure submission of the reports to provincial office.
- Manage and oversee the activities of the Employment Equity Forum in the unit.
OVERSEE AND MANAGE INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS AND EMPLOYEE WELLNESS
- Ensure compliance with the disciplinary code by all employees at the garage.
- Facilitate the resolution of Employee Health and Wellness for counseling sessions.
- Monitor absenteeism and conduct trend analysis.
- Ensure proper planning of HRM Matters within the unit and submit to the provincial office.
- Ensure correct translation in rank, etc.
- Ensure that the leaves on PERSAL/PERSAP are captured.
- Monitor review and approve leave transactions of PERSAL.
- Manage and Monitor leave administration processes.
- Ensure data integrity on PERSAP.
- Monitor, manage and process applications for temporary and permanent incapacity leave transactions on PERSAL.

MANAGE THE RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

MANAGE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Ensure that individual Development Plans are in place and implemented for all Employees.
- Ensure training aligned to Performance Development Needs.
- Identify training needs and advise the PC Office on appropriate training intervention.
- Conduct In service training.
- Conduct Training audits.
- Making transport arrangements/bookings of flights for personnel going for training.
MANAGEMENT OF THE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Implement and Manage the Performance management system for all employees.
- Facilitate, Oversee and manage the submission of performance agreements.
- Monitor and keep track of progress of the Performance Management Evaluations.
- Capture/Approve performance management ratings on PERSAP and ensure effective capturing of incentives.
- Conduct Verbal and Written Performance appraisals.
- Present the Individual development plans to supervisors/management.
MANAGE AND MONITOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION
- Ensure completion of all necessary documentation on new employees, Medical Aid, Pension Fund, Housing allowance, etc.
- Administer the employee pension benefits.
- Manage service termination, (ill health, death, dismissal, retirements etc) and capturing thereon.
- Administration of Equity programs and procedures.
- Inspecting all HR Registers i.e. Movement Register, Disciplinary register, Service Termination register etc.
- Drawing of reports and giving feedback and reply to any enquiries from the Provincial Office and Head Office.
- Provide statistics on compliance.
FINANCE RESPONSIBILITIES & PROCUREMENT
- Management of financial-related administration, i.e. supplier's payment.
- Inspecting of Order Books.
- Management of Financial registers.
- Management of Claims and Payments.
- Inspect and audit Financial Files/Documents.
- Signing of procurement of less than R50 000.00
