I was responsible for answering the phone and getting the messages to the right people.
I had to do the bed bookings for the patients that came in and if there was a miscommunication, I had to do bed changes.
People with infections had to be booked in certain rooms where they can’t endanger other patients.
I also had to work with enquiries from patient’s families who were usually worried and uninformed.
Allowing access to the ward was another responsibility as there were specific visiting hours due to security and health reasons.
I had to do the patient complaints and compliments every night and write a report to the unit manager. Making sure the patients all had food and water was also one of the responsibilities.
Filing and making sure there were enough stickers and forms for the night staff to work with, were also an important duty.
At the end of my shift, I had to collect the medicine trolley for the ward from the hospital pharmacy.

I worked at Nashua being Juan Smith’s PA (Cheetah and SA Rugby player), making sure his diary was up to date and phoning potential clients.
I made appointments so that he could go and close deals with potential clients.
I was also in charge of answering the phone and making coffee. I resigned to start my studies at VICOFS
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a stock controller I was in charge of booking stock in and out of the warehouse daily.
I had to do stock counting every month and also order new stock that was needed. The program we used was Syspro. I was also in charge of the parcels that came in and out via courier companies.
I had to know health and safety as it was a job that had the potential of getting yourself or others hurt.
I also did basic administration like answering phones, filing and helping out where needed.
