- Planning, controlling and execution of all activities connected with the inspection, repair, maintenance, surveys, dry docking, conversions/modifications and technical management of assigned vessels

- Monitoring (and corrective action if outside agreed or expected parameters) of vessel performance trends incl: Speed, fuel and lubricating oil consumption; implement a regular vessel visiting schedule and report on general condition, repairs and maintenance, safety (SHE-Q), crewing and any actions required
- (This included discussions with vessels on spares, stores, procurement and any other issues of concern, and reporting on same)
- Working closely with the vessel manager and members of the management team (including masters) to co-ordinate all relevant information required for the preparation of Vessel Operating Costs and budgets
