Main Duties:

• Maintained a focus on interest income performance of the Treasury through management of actual results against budget
• Developed and nurtured strategic relationships with stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the department and the bank and ensure speed to market.
• Ensured that the Bank is appropriately funded in order to meet Regulatory requirements as well as ability to survive a liquidity crisis caused by changes to economic and market conditions. This role was pivotal in ensuring that this risk is mitigated
• Managed balance sheet activities through treasury in the country office.
• Implemented the balance sheet structure in line with the group Treasury strategy.
• Ensured compliance with key group balance sheet/regulatory ratios in the country of operation.
• Monitored and ensured compliance of Internal Balance Sheet Ratios and Regulatory requirements across the Group.
• Spearheaded the ALCO process and anchor the committee meetings while providing secretarial duties.
• Prepared Board reports, Management reports and credit proposals.
• Drafted and circulate daily market updates and newsletter.
• Conducted treasury analysis in the local market with a view to exploiting opportunities.
• Managed and monitored portfolio and using models pinpoint investments that need to be realigned based on applicable financial models.

• Quality, accurate and professional appraisal and due diligence of new and existing prospects on behalf of the respective Funds.
• Raising of requisitions and facilitation of investment settlement.
• Verification and vetting of all supporting documents in support of investments.
• Attending to internal and external audit queries.
• Record keeping and filing of all documentation pertaining to Investments
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual investment reports.
• Timely preparation of documentation for participation in the weekly Treasury Bills Tender and monthly Government Bond auction.
• Placement of funds with Commercial Banks in instruments of varying maturities as per needs of the fund for which the placement is made on behalf of.
