Conduct benchmarking exercises regarding job description Assists Managers with advice on updating job profiles
Ensure the annual review of all job descriptions, job profiles
Ensure that the job evaluation of the job profile is conducted by the appointed service provider and implemented once approved by the Accounting Officer.
Recruitment and Selection: Establish a recruitment and selection plan for each financial year
Establish advertisements, liaise with media regarding placement of advertisements
Facilitate the shortlisting meeting with the panel on the selection of shortlisting candidates according to the recruitment and selection policy
Arrange interviews with shortlisting candidates
Set up skills assessment with the service provider for suitable appointed candidates
Ensure that qualification and reference checking is done
Compile interview and recommendation report after panel meeting for the approval of the Accounting Officer/Speaker
Ensure that the on-boarding process of successful candidate is implemented
Compile recruitment and selection reports and the progress of the recruitment timeline
Control expenditure vs budget and submit monthly reconciliation to Manager.
Reporting: Collate statistical information, including but not limited to race, gender, disability, skills development, NQF levels, personnel costs, labour turnover, leave liabilities
Submit monthly, quarterly and Annual reports on Human Resources matters.
Remuneration Management: Establish salary and benefits structure
Ensure awareness and understanding of salary and benefits structure
Download variance reports of all financials of employees from SAGE 300 for checking of discrepancies
Check payslips and ensure accurate payments by verifying this on payroll variance report
Maintain an administration sheets of all changes to the monthly payroll inputs
Maintain accurate salary schedule and payroll deadlines
Releasing of salaries on the Nedbank file
Collate remuneration statistics
Perform calculations regarding general and other salary increases
Ensure that Bi-annual tax reconciliation has been done on SAGE 300
Reconciliation of General Ledger interface between payroll and finance.
Administration Co-ordination: Co-ordinate benefits administration by checking processes, payments, advices done by Clerks
Administration of organizational structure, resignations, transfers, secondments and probations reports
Dealing with the Government Employee Pension Fund on termination of services of staff of the WCPP
Updating the organizational chart information monthly

Labour Relations: Provide advice on labour issues to employees and management
Administrate the grievances procedures, if and when necessary
