
A typical day in my life as a supply chain and contract management professional:
I am aligning stakeholder needs, juggling priorities, analyzing markets, strategizing, managing supplier dynamics, negotiating, securing the best deals, making swift decisions to sustain operational success, mitigating risks to keep the supply chain resilient, intergrading planning and ensuring products move seamlessly from source to customer with a very efficient and responsive supply chain.
With over two decades of professional experience and over 10 years of managing end-to-end supply chain including supply chain planning, sourcing hard-to-find materials, procurement and logistics across different industries like Engineering & Construction, Oil and Gas and the Public Sector , I approach challenges with the mindset of a problem-solver-always on the lookout for those unique strategies that add value to the supply chain ecosystem.

• Couched buyers and procurement head on contract and legislation compliance requirement applicable to procurement function like PFMA, Supply Chain Treasury Regulation and , HSSE Legislation , CIDB and etc
• Managed claim, disputes and contract variation for Umgeni Water Engineering Services and goods contracts.
• Provided verbal and written legal opinion to Umgeni Water Board and its committees in relation to Supply Chain legal compliance issues
• Provided support and advise in the creation of Purchasing Policies and Procedures for the Umgeni Water Procurement Department
• Couched buyers in the creation of contracts and acted as a sole specialists for drafting all nonstandard complex contract clauses to be incorporated in standard contracts
• Developed the Umgeni Water standard Tender Pack in line with applicable government regulations and legislation
• Vetted all RFx before issue to ensure that they are in line with Umgeni Water Purchasing Policies and Procedures
