  • My focus area is on the implementation of TIER.Net and DHIS. I am responsible for overseeing the DHIS and Tier.Net implementation in the 60 facilities that SA SURE Project has been allocated. This is through working with the Data Captures and other identified facility stakeholders. My contribution is critical in the reporting and utilization of information for decision making. I assist with facilitating continued access to verified and accurate data.  This is an expert area wherein I use my knowledge creatively to initiate programmes to improve quality of health information. I give regular feedback to Monitoring and Evaluation Mentors as it is critical for M&E Mentors to ensure an integrated planning approach.

  • In my placement as M & E fellow placed at the District level, I have displayed leadership role in working with Health Information System Mentors (HISMs), Roving Data Capturers (RDC), Hospital information officers and PHC facility data captures and other healthcare professionals in Vhembe District. I have facilitated several training about data quality management. I was actively involved in rolling out DHIMS policy and ART M&E SOP in Vhembe District where I was a facilitator of the trainings thereof.
  • I have been closely involved in drafting the M&E framework for NHI in Vhembe District
  • On a monthly basis I ensured that data is reviewed and submitted timeously by making use of DoH policies and SOPs
  • I have acquired extensive experience in coordinating meetings such as DHP, DMT, APP   where I would liaise with all the stakeholders involved in this regard. In these meetings I ensured that data is equally used for the purpose of decision making and planning purposes through COP and DASHBOARD Presentations. I have gained experience in conducting data quality management meetings on a monthly basis and quarterly basis. I was actively involved in conducting HAST reviews for the District and I would also assist in the Sub-District HAST reviews.
