  • I was managing a team of nine Assessors and three office staff members
  • I was also in charge of drafting reports and checking quality of the work done by the Assessors before the reports are sent to the client to assist in their defense
  • Where there is suspicion of fraud, more evidence would be gathered to support the suspicion
  • The Fund would be notified and the claim will then be flagged as fraud and sent to the client for further investigation
  • As an Office Manager, I was interacting with the claim handlers at all times in an event where there were any queries relating to any matter we were instructed to work on
  • I would make sure that the turnaround period was adhered to in accordance to the service level agreement
  • In an event where the turnaround period would not be met, the client would be notified of any challenges met by an Assessor on the field

  • I started working as an Assessor for then Tswelopele Investigations in April 2004, working in the field investigating and conducting assessments on merits and quantum matters for the sole client - RAF (Road Accident Fund)
  • Under merits investigation, we were required to be able to conduct merits in full, i.e
  • Conducting an inspection in loco, interview and obtain statements from all witnesses, visit police station within the jurisdiction of the accident to request and uplift copies of the docket and or OAR, and proving nexus
  • Under quantum matters, in case of loss of support matters we were required to trace the deceased and the plaintiff's families, interview them and obtain their statements confirming paternity and maternity of the minors, confirming employment of the plaintiff and the deceased, confirming marriage of the deceased and scholastic status of the minor children of the deceased
