1.Business Services Strategy network implementation

• Participate in the formulation of Network Implementation/Decommissioning strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives

3. Site acquisition and major account management

4.Data center, specification and process

• Provide guidance and assistance to vendors and internal customers on industry standard best practice specifications and infrastructure deployment practices.

• Assist executive management in defining and implementing the data centre strategy within Cell C

• Responsible for operational upkeep and maintenance of Cell C Data centre locations. Ensuring 100% up time of all core elements

5 Sub contractor & Vendor Management

• Manage and assist Regional Infrastructure Managers and vendors with identification of suitably qualified sub-contractors as determined by the business and project operational requirements.

• Validate and approve all sub-contractor and vendor requests, quotations and invoices prior to any payments or approvals being made.

• Manage all project related milestones and ensure that all projected forecasts are met within the contractual time frames.

• Investigate and resolve complaints & requests concerning the network implementation/decommissioning process.

• Track project progress in terms of all related infrastructure processes to ensure compliance in line with statutory requirements and specifications.

• Manage the timely review process of the existing project vendor and recommend the additional measures and steps to ensure success and timely delivery.

6 Contracts & cost management & budget

• Assist and advise with the appointment of construction and infrastructure contractors that are directly involved in the network transformation project, data centre operations and site acquisition.

• Oversee the contractor's and supplier conformance to Cell C contracts and service level agreements.

• Plan, estimate, control and administer the annual costs for Infrastructure Section.

• Oversee timely processing and authorization of payment documentation and submission for payment.

• Develop and introduce innovative solutions into the Infrastructure Network, Data Centres and Site Acquisition departments and exercise appropriate controls to meet budget.

• Manage Budget through planning, setting, monitoring and controlling the costs.
