I worked as an apprentice in electrical engineering for a few years. After I had the opportunity to bid and calculate costs, I found more satisfaction because I have a keen mind for numbers.

I quit after saving some money to attend college and study accounting.

About Me

As a manager I believe that leadership contains certain elements of good management, but it requires that you inspire and build durable trust. For an organisation to be not just good but to win, leadership means evoking participation larger than the job description, commitment deeper than any job contract's wording. Pleasure in the job and work environment puts perfection in the work, that is why leadership and teamwork are so important to me.

My hobbies include appreciating koi fish and their splendor, aquaponics, cryptocurrencies and it's mysteries as well as working in a few minutes of gaming here and there. I believe I would excel in any work environment, not because of my skills, knowledge, or hard work, but just the mere fact that I bring cake on my birthday.

DETAILED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Manage, implement and improve training processes
  • Assist in the creation of policies, memoranda, and standard operating procedures
  • Organisational planning of departments. Ensure that all team members meet their performance objectives
  • Develop policies and systems to improve individual and team competency
  • Identify inefficiencies within my team and implement effective processes/policies to improve efficiency

  • Manage standard department functions, e.g. vacation, overtime, general employee wellness
  • Implementation of business analysis requirement from client
  • Scope preparation of payroll functionalities for development team
  • Manage and assist team members in the preparation of monthly payroll, including the creation of variable input sheets
  • Manage and monitor the proper implementation of various rules, deadlines and policies for the various payrolls
  • Process bulk third party entries - health insurance, retirement fund, risk benefits, fuel/fuel card, lease vehicles, union contributions and maintenance payments
  • Manage and review payroll reports prior to approval to ensure inputs are processed correctly
  • Distribute payroll confirmation reports
  • Respond to inquiries and high level questions from company employees and managers, in regard to compensation, and terms and conditions of service
  • Prepare payroll and finance reports ensuring they balance and comply with the clients requirements
  • Approve all special EFT payment orders related to salary payments
  • Execute ad hoc payroll packages, modeling or re-modeling as required by clients
  • Prepare reports for executive and management and attend regular meetings representing Ergonomix
  • Provide calculations to client regarding compensation policies and performance management policies for final payment of merit-based salary increases and incentive awards for client approval
  • Provide monthly and quarterly ad hoc reports on overtime, absenteeism, hours worked, on-call, employment equity statistics, personnel movement, etc to management, senior management and executive leadership
  • Manage and oversee the provision of requested statistics and reports to the Department of Labor, internal and external auditors, Employment Equity, and Stats SA
  • Liaise with third party organisations (2 medical aids, service providers, 2 provident/pension funds, SARS, UIF, auditors, consultants, etc)
  • Prepare and submit mid-year and year-end SARS returns
  • Carefully process payments to third party/legal entities and submit to appropriate entities on a monthly basis
