With a Masters in Sustainable Energy Efficient Cities and over 13 years of experience in the built environment, I have a proven track record of successful projects and initiatives in Southern Africa. My expertise lies in climate resilience, integrated human settlements, and urban transformation.
As an Urban Specialist for the World Bank, I have undertake analytical and advisory studies on urbanization reviews and territorial development studies in countries like South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Lesotho. I have also served as a Strategic Development Planner in Johannesburg, focusing on policy and strategy development to promote inclusive and sustainable growth in urban areas.
Some of my key achievements include speaking on panels at international platforms, leading country delegations at international technical deep dives, participating in TV interviews on built environment topics, and winning authoring bids from prestigious organizations like the South African Cities Network.
I am a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with a passion for creating sustainable and efficient cities. I am excited to bring my skills and experience to a new challenge in the field of sustainable development.

Roles:
i) In streams of work that are not WB initiated, I follow the development of the pieces and provide cross-pollinating linkages with WB-initiated projects/programmes on urban issues (specifically, climate resilience and upgrading of human settlements).
ii) I provide cross-support on urban-related issues to other sectors as needed
iii) I provide operational assistance to the task teams working on various projects and activities, including the preparation of project documents, research and analysis on specific tasks, support to project supervision.
v) I participates in developing and implementing practice strategy and assists in country-specific policy work
vi)I participate in WB missions; liaise and coordinate with government counterparts, development partners and other stakeholders; provide technical inputs and guidance to counterparts on appropriate scope, technology, World Bank operational procedures, etc.; prepares terms of reference for project- or sector-related work.
vii) I manage short-term consultants from procurement to project close-out, including drafting of ToRs and conducting document reviews for quality control
viii) I compile quarterly and bi-annual reports on resilience and human settlement projects to national counter-parts and finance partners.
