A mechanical engineering technician and a Certificated Engineer (GCC Factories) with 10 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, and operation of mechanical machinery. • Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA), Operations and Maintenance Technician, 4 years, Increased the overall MTBF for our mechanical assets from 60 days to 120 days and thereby saving over R1m in operational expenditure., Provide organizational governance in the application of CMMS processes and promote understanding and compliance to CMMS principles., Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with strategy to manage expenditure., Installation of Sludge Disposal Pumps and 3km long Discharge line.
• Kathu Solar Plant (Pty) Ltd, Mechanical Technician, 2 years, Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)., Maintaining defect register, corrective and preventive action tracker., Identifying plant reliability risks and recommending preventive actions., Read, interpret technical drawings and P&IDs for the Risk Based Inspection studies., Annual shutdown for pressured vessel external inspection and 36 months pressure testing.
• Kentz Engineers & Contractors (Member of SNC LAVALIN), Junior Mechanical Engineer, 2 years, Perform risk assessments for equipment with defects using risk matrix, to assess the integrity of pressurized equipment., Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, process, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance., Sasol’s Shutdown and General Overhaul (G/O) of static equipment to ensure safe, continual, reliable, and efficient operations.
